The aviation sector is a key focus for PADCOM, where we bring our expertise in project controls, construction management, and program management to enhance airport infrastructure and the passenger experience. Our team is dedicated to transforming aviation facilities, ensuring that modernization projects are delivered with minimal disruption to ongoing operations. From expanding terminals to integrating new transportation systems, PADCOM’s goal is to deliver world-class facilities that support growing passenger volumes and enhance safety, efficiency, and comfort for travelers.

Our recent aviation projects include the $5.5 Billion Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP) at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), which aims to significantly reduce congestion and improve access to airport facilities. The $500 Million Terminal Cores & APM Interface Project is another initiative at LAX designed to connect passengers seamlessly to the new Automated People Mover. Additionally, PADCOM supported the renovation of the $2.2 Billion Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) and the demolition of the apron and concourse, bringing this crucial gateway to modern standards and enhancing passenger experience.

    Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP)

Project Owner: Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA)
    Project Location: LAX Airport
    Cost: $5.5 Billion

The Landside Access Modernization Program aims to provide airport guests with first-class, swift, convenient, and reliable ways to access LAX. LAMP encompasses several major components: a 2.25-mile Automated People Mover (APM) that connects three on-airport stations to Metro rail and transit services; a Consolidated Rent-A-Car (ConRAC) facility; two Intermodal Transportation Facilities (ITFs) which offer additional parking, ground transportation services, and meet-and-greet areas; and significant roadway improvements. The ITF-West facility was inaugurated in 2021, and the remaining major elements of the program are scheduled for completion by 2023. PADCOM’s role includes providing program management, project management, and project control services to support these efforts.

Terminal Cores & APM Interface Project

Project Owner: Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA)
    Project Location: LAX Airport
    Cost: $450 Million

In preparation for the new Automated People Mover (APM) at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), the airport is set to construct new landing supports in several central terminal areas. These supports are essential for accommodating the future pedestrian bridge. They will also enhance vertical circulation and improve connectivity to both the Security Checkpoint and the concourse areas.
