About the Role
PADCOM Design & Construction Management Services is seeking a Project Scheduler to support construction scheduling and program controls across LAUSD facilities projects.
This role is responsible for independently reviewing contractor schedules, performing schedule analysis, and supporting program-level reporting and forecasting. The position plays a critical role in monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and ensuring schedules align with contract requirements and program objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Interpret construction drawings across disciplines (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil) to understand full project scope.

Review contractor baseline schedules in Primavera P6 and identify missing scope, logic, milestones, and critical path activities.

Analyze contractor monthly schedule updates and document schedule delays, slippage, and impacts.

Perform QA/QC reviews of schedule submittals for compliance with contract requirements.

Develop Earned Value Analysis (EVA) curves based on program guidelines.

Monitor construction progress and identify schedule risks and recovery opportunities.

Generate and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and variance reports, including root cause analysis and mitigation recommendations.

Develop or review preliminary construction schedules based on plans and specifications.

Perform Time Impact Analysis (TIA) using industry-accepted methodologies.

Evaluate contract documents to determine entitlement to time extensions.

Participate in project meetings and communicate schedule issues with project teams.

Maintain and update program and master schedules.

Ensure proper use of scheduling standards, coding structures, and reporting formats.

Conduct site visits to verify construction progress and schedule alignment.

Prepare reports and presentations for project leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
OR -
Bachelor’s degree in any field with additional two (2) years of relevant scheduling experience
Experience
-
Minimum 6 years of professional experience in construction scheduling
-
Experience working for an owner, consultant, or general contractor
-
Experience on public works or educational facility projects preferred
Skills & Knowledge
-
Proficiency in Primavera P6 (latest version)

Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Understanding of cost engineering, scheduling principles, and schedule forensics

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational and planning abilities
-
Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders
