About the Role
PADCOM Design & Construction Management Services is seeking a Scheduler IV to support construction scheduling and program controls across multiple LACCD capital improvement projects.
This role is responsible for advanced schedule analysis, contractor schedule reviews, and cost/schedule integration. The position plays a critical role in monitoring project performance, identifying risks, and supporting leadership with accurate reporting and forecasting across multiple project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate development of project schedules aligned with execution strategies and program requirements.
- Review contractor schedules for compliance, quality, and contract conformance.
- Evaluate change orders and amendments for schedule and cost impacts.
- Perform Time Impact Analysis (TIA) for delays and potential claims.
- Participate in change order negotiations and provide schedule-related input.
- Conduct Critical Path Method (CPM) and Earned Value Analysis (EVA).
- Identify schedule risks and recommend corrective actions and recovery strategies.
- Perform site visits to monitor construction progress and validate schedule accuracy.
- Review contractor weekly and monthly schedule updates and prepare narrative reports.
- Analyze and evaluate contractor recovery schedules.
- Perform cost analysis to support design and construction phases.
- Compare actual expenditures against budget and forecast performance.
- Develop cost-loaded schedules to support cash flow projections.
- Interpret and apply contract requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate schedule performance and issues clearly to project teams and leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
OR - Additional qualifying experience may substitute for education
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project or program scheduling on large construction programs
- Experience with Time Impact Analysis and construction claims
- Experience evaluating change orders and schedule impacts
Skills & Knowledge
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and scheduling tools
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of cost engineering and scheduling principles
- Experience with Critical Path Method (CPM) and Earned Value Analysis (EVA)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
Work Conditions & Requirements
- Onsite position across multiple college campuses
- Must be flexible to work at multiple project locations as required
- May require site visits and coordination across multiple teams
Salary & Benefits
- Salary Range: Competitive (billing rate equivalent to approximately $168/hour)
