Project Manager II

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday; after-hours or weekend work as needed
About the Role
PADCOM is hiring a Project Manager II to lead the Low Voltage Special Systems scope for the Terminal 5 Renovation & Reconstruction program at LAX. You will be the primary IT liaison for the project, overseeing the design-builder’s IT and special systems work, aligning with LAWA standards, and coordinating closely with IMT and project stakeholders to deliver a safe, disruption-free rollout.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison with IMT for T5 IT implementation and integration.

Define scope, develop RFPs, and manage procurement for designers and contractors.

Plan, direct, and control technical, fiscal, and administrative functions for the IT portion of the project.

Build budgets and schedules; monitor risks, quality, and compliance with contracts.

Lead design and construction coordination: design reviews, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, mockups, FAT/SAT, testing, commissioning, and punch lists.

Oversee permitting activities and remove construction roadblocks to keep work efficient.

Maintain complete project documentation and produce regular progress and risk reports.

Ensure adherence to QA/QC plans and LAWA BIM standards; monitor BIM production.

Evaluate change proposals and pay applications for accuracy and contract compliance.

Coordinate across TDIP projects for technical consistency and support stakeholder briefings and board presentations.
What We’re Looking For
-
Education: Bachelor’s in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, or related field; Master’s preferred.

Experience: 10+ years managing large construction projects, ideally at airports and over $50M in value; proven ability in management roles.

Skills: Strong leadership, planning, and communication. Able to interpret design intent, manage complex phasing, and work under pressure. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; CAD or Revit is a plus.

Certifications (preferred): AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, or similar.
Work Conditions and Equipment

Onsite at LAX; this is not a work-from-home position.

Monday–Friday full-time; after-hours or weekends may be required and are considered part of salary.

Company-provided laptop and cell phone required; LAWA provides a desktop or laptop for on-network work.

Transportation to and from the LAX worksite is the employee’s responsibility.
Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $160,000 – $163,000 annually.
- Schedule: Full-Time, onsite.
